Blossom Weekend – Open orchard

Apple HQ, Shepton Montague, Wincanton, BA9 8JW 10:00am - 8:00pm
April 27th is National Blossom Day. Dowding’s orchards will be open on 27th and 28th April to welcome visitors, between 10a.m. and 8p.m. You will be welcome whatever the weather. You can wander among 15 acres of trees (of varying ages from 1 to 30 years old). There will be hot food created by Bruecurries.  Or bring your own picnic. There will be covered space if there is wet weather. Our friends from Pitcombe Rock Falconry will join us for part of each day with some birds of prey. Weather permitting. ‘ARTinthe’ will be introducing their outdoor art classes for 2024, which will include “Changing seasons in Dowding’s orchards”. Directions, follow signs to a gate between the crossroads and the pub in Shepton Montague, BA9 8JW. Follow the track round the field where there will be ample parking space. If you have restricted mobility please contact us in advance to enable parking nearer to Apple HQ. There are full toilet facilities.

Wurzels concert in Frome

We are delighted that our ciders will be available at the Cheese and Grain in Frome on Saturday 30th March for a gig by The Wurzels. We will be setting up our mobile 'bars' for the evening! Tickets can be bought via the Cheese and Grains' website - linked here.

Frome Potato and Seed Swap Day

Bath Beer & Cider Festival

BBC Radio Bristol on Sunday 11th February will be interviewing at 17.20 our friend Han, who will be representing CAMRA Bath & Borders. She'll be doing a shout out for all the cider producers supplying Bath Beer & Cider Fest. She hopes to get the full list read out early in the show. Tune in with your nerdy cider questions!
