Dowding’s will be having an “Open Orchard” weekend, on 22^nd/23^rd August, from 10a.m. to 8p.m.   There are 15 acres of organically managed apple trees, the majority being eating apples. There will be plenty to see and probably scrump!   There will be a display of birds of prey by the Pitcombe Rock Falconry. They rescue and rehabilitate birds of prey of all sizes and breeds.   There is no entrance fee, but we ask that you make a donation to the falconry when you are here. They may be offering buggy rides around the orchards. If the weather is be wet or extremely windy the falconry may not be here.   Food will be on offer, provided by a visiting caterer. This should be available between 11.a.m. and 7p.m.   There may be other people selling their wares.   There will be plenty of drinks to buy, both to consume on the day or take home. We look forward to welcoming everybody.   Finally, please note the address and don’t follow Google Maps to end up at our house!!
